The Vision
Radical improvement is required
10-year plan sets out how we deliver the plan with 3 big shifts in the focus of the NHS:
Reducing unnecessary face-to-face appointments and converting them to messaging where possible. Up to 40% of inbound requests from patients into their GP practice don’t require an appointment.
80% of face-to-face appointments, no change was made to the patient’s medication or treatment plan. Post-procedure follow-up appointments can often be replaced with digital communication

The plan emphasizes the importance of using technology to improve healthcare, including better computer systems, video appointments, and AI-powered tools.
Hospital to Community
The NHS is moving towards providing more care in the community, closer to people's homes, rather than relying solely on hospitals.
From Sickness to Prevention
The focus is shifting towards preventing illness and promoting healthy lifestyles, rather than just treating existing conditions.

We have created the ability for customers to create a widget for surgeries to publish on their website for advising of the queue length for certain groups.
Surgeries can create and customise multiple widgets across their website via the advanced section of the SDC.

We're building a self-booking system that will allow patients to manage appointments directly through a personalized link. This streamlined process will benefit both patients, with convenient online access, and the surgery, by reducing administrative tasks and phone calls.

The ability to conference in a 3rd party has always been there on the Yealink phones via a dedicated “Conf” button, this is a popular feature, especially when customers need to bring in interpreting services or other external resources. We are now bringing this feature to the Phonebar via the Communications Window.

The Waiting Room Dialler is an extension to the Phonebar Appointment List
The feature will dial patients in the Appointment List, ahead of their appointment and add them to a virtual waiting room ready to speak to the GP or other staff member when they have finished their current consultation.

Patient Callback Enhancements
This enhancement to the Patient Callback feature now introduces the ability to have multiple webpages across a service, meaning the information displayed on the Queue Position Webpage can be tailored to the Group that the callback was booked for.
Currently it is only possible to configure one web page for the entire service and therefore all Groups that have the QPOS webpage feature enabled have to use a single webpage configuration.

This feature aims to make silent monitoring more accessible to users without the need to escalate a user to Supervisor. It will introduce new capabilities to the Phonebar to allow colleagues to invite others in to calls to enable them to listen and observe.

The voicemail transcription feature revolutionises how you manage messages. Advanced speech recognition converts spoken words into written text, displayed directly in your communications window.
Quickly scan the transcriptions to prioritise urgent requests, identify key information, and save time previously spent listening to entire voicemails.
