Let's explore the parts of a plant!
Purpose:
Learning Goal:
Plants are all around us! They help us breathe, give us food, and make the world beautiful. Today, you will learn about the different parts of a plant and what each part does to help it grow.
By the end of this activity, you will be able to name the parts of a plant and explain what each part does. Learning Standards: NGSS 2-LS2-1 NGSS 2-LS2-2
Directions:
- On the first slide, click on each plant part name to learn about its job and see a picture.
- Once you have learned the parts of the plant and their jobs, it's time to put your skills to the test! Go to the last slide.
- On the last slide, drag each plant part name from the word bank and drop it where it belongs on the plant. If you get it right there's a surprise! There are 5 plant parts that are all used once in their own blank.
