Case solving:
How to deal with the secondary school leaving examination

In order to do well in the final exam, it is essential to evaluate the relationship between the effort required and the expected result, balancing study and well-being.Time is a precious resource: at the moment I am devoting a couple of hours a day to studying, and I think I will gradually increase them as the exam approaches; this will allow me to consolidate my knowledge without getting too tired. Mental effort should be managed by alternating moments of study with regenerating breaks, avoiding excessive stress. Furthermore, it is important to consider the different skills required: some disciplines require memory, others logic, and the study method must adapt consequently. Preparing for the secondary school leaving certificate will therefore require a lot of effort, and for this reason I created a detailed calendar with deadlines and intermediate goals, distributing the amount of work over time. Using small rewards, such as breaks or enjoyable activities, helps me to keep motivation high. This method allows a constant and balanced approach to study, making preparation more effective and reducing the amount of stress.
PRICING
Cost and effort required
To achieve the best possible result, it is essential to maximise the profitability of my choices. Optimising my study time and energy can help me achieving an excellent result with minimal waste of resources. The first step is to identify the subjects in which I have the most difficulty in order to pay more attention to them so that I can fill any gaps. Next, I work out an efficient study plan, perhaps dedicating more hours to the subjects with potential for improvement (for example philosophy) and consolidating those in which I am sure I already have a solid enough foundation. I think the use of summaries and concept maps is also very useful, as they promote long-term, focused learning. This approach makes it possible to maintain a balanced performance, avoiding forgetting critical areas and maximising results with minimal effort.
PROFITABILITY
Maximising choices for maximum results
To face any exam successfully, not only in the preparation for the secondary school leaving certificate, it is essential to develop transversal skills that go beyond theoretical study.Time organisation is crucial: I usually divide my study into blocks and this helps me to maintain high concentration and improve productivity. For the oral interview, training in public speaking is indispensable: I usually simulate the presentation with friends or family and this allows me to achieve confidence and clearness in my exposition. Finally, developing problem-solving skills is essential for managing complex tests, such as text analysis or mathematical problems, which may appear in the written papers. To perfect this skill, I want to start practising with previous exam papers, familiarising myself with the types of questions proposed. By working in this way, I think I will become more confident and self-controlled, approaching each stage of the test with greater confidence and determination.
MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS
Skills to be developed
In order to best approach maturity, however, it is not enough to study hard: it is essential to consider the concrete situation and adapt the strategy on the basis of it. A realistic analysis of the context is another aspect that makes it possible to optimise efforts and maximise results. The first step is an honest self-evaluation: I found very useful to identify personal strengths and weaknesses by simulations, such as the maths questionnaires that we do in class, to better understand the level of your own preparation. I would also like to start asking teachers for feedback in order to identify aspects to be improved. In addition, I think it's essential to take into consideration the time available before the exam and personal engagements, avoiding an excessive amount of work that could compromise concentration. Taking planned breaks helps to manage stress and keep productivity high.
