AVID Elementary

AVID Elementary equips PreK-6 students with essential skills for future success, closing opportunity gaps and fostering a learning mindset. It enhances teaching and learning approaches, preparing students for college and career readiness in a global society. AVID-trained teachers use WICOR strategies to boost rigorous instruction and align teaching practices, while providing students with diverse college and career experiences. This is achieved through continuous refinement of educator behaviors via AVID professional learning and support, impacting student outcomes. Schools can implement AVID Elementary across specific grades or the entire campus, starting with a small group participating in AVID professional learning.

AVID Secondary

AVID Secondary provides teachers and schools with resources to prepare students for college and career success. It includes the AVID Elective course, offering daily academic, social, and emotional support to help students excel in rigorous courses. Districts can customize the number and grade levels of AVID Elective classes, and middle schools can address English language learners' needs through the AVID Excel elective class. AVID Secondary impacts not only students in the AVID Elective class but also the entire campus. It offers classroom activities, teaching practices, and academic behaviors that enhance engagement and success for all students. Teachers can apply their AVID training to all classrooms, promoting college and career readiness.
