Ginkgo biloba reproduz-se por sementes. A polinização ocorre pelo vento (anemofilia), onde o pólen das árvores masculinas é transportado até as estruturas reprodutivas femininas. Após a fertilização, desenvolvem-se as sementes que, ao caírem no solo, podem germinar e dar origem a novas plantas.
