Villains by Sue Kendall is a psychological thriller that delves into the lives of morally complex characters. The story explores themes of crime, betrayal, and the blurred lines between good and evil. It challenges the reader to consider what makes someone a "villain" and whether circumstances shape our actions.

Personal opinion

We think this story is such and interesting book. Why?. Because the plot of killers and dark main character takes us to the 19th Century London, the streets, the prisons, the dead sentences.Really interesting secondary characters like Margery Lovett, Elmer Plummer or John Crook makes the opinion of both of us about the story really good, in numbers: 7,9/10

Thomas Peckett wrote about him, then in a newspaper, a notice appeared: A gentleman was murdered in Fleet Street by a barber who scaped, Sweneey build a michene that helped him kill people, basically when a client was murdered on the chair, he would go to the underground by a trapdoor, Sir Richard Blunt was in St Dunstan’s Church and smelled a terrible smell under the church, he conected the smell with Sweneey Todd, entered Sweneey barber shop and saw underground tunnels, from the barber shop to the church, the corpses of the killed people were taked there, meanwhile the meat was used in other part of the tunnel, Bell Yard’s Margery Lovett bakery, Margery used the meat to do famous meat pies, both them, Todd and Lovett were arrested, by Todd perspective he was accused of at least 160 people and the most important one, Mr Thornhill murder, they recognized his corpse, because of his Doctor Sylvester, Thornhill had a bone with a particular injury, his Lawyer tried to save him, but Sweneey was sentenced to dead hanged.

Synopsys

Sweneey Todd, was a kid in the 19th Centuary London, orphan, he started to work with John Crook, who was a cutler, he stealed some ítems from John, and 2 years later he was arrested and was send to the New Gate prison, being a kid in New Gate wasn’t an easy job, surviving in this prison dependen on how much money do yo have, but he meet Elmer plummer, the barber in New Gate, so Todd, learned how to cut hair… He also stoled money from the carters of the clients of Elmer, when Sweneey leave left the prison he started a travelling barbery, saved money and opened a barbery in Fleet Street, he lived with a Young woman, one day, a drunk man entered the barber shop for a cut, he satrted to describe the woman he loved and it was really similar to the woman who lived with Sweneey Todd, he was jealous and he killed that man.

Sweeney Todd

He started working for John Crook, but was later arrested for stealing and imprisoned in New Gate. There, he developed a hatred for society and learned to be a barber. When he left, he was a dark and heartless man. He opened a barbershop on Fleet Street, where he would commit hundreds of murders and transport the bodies under the church, using the flesh to make meat pies, with the help of Margery Lovett. The smell of the church would betray him, and after answering to the law, he would be sentenced to death without being hanged. Due to his actions, we think, Sweneey is a disturbed and maniac person

Margery lovett

Margery Lovett, was the owner of a bakery in Bell Yard, famous for its delicious meat pies, but the thing people of London didn´t know its that this pies are maked with human meat, the meat of the victims of Todd. Due to his actions, we think Margery is a Dark and disturbed woman
