Conditional sentences
Conditional sentences are sentences that talk about real or imaginary situations and their consequences. They usually have two parts: a) The "if" clause (the condition) b) The main clause (the result) 4 types of conditionals: - Real: zero and first. - Hypothetical: second and third.

zero Conditional(real)
The zero conditional is used to talk about general facts and truths: If you touch fire, you get burned. (Ouch! 🔥) (condition) (result)
Next
first Conditional(real)
We use the first conditional to talk about future conditions that we think are possible or real. If you study, you will pass the test. (No magic, just effort! 📚) (condition) (result)
Next
second Conditional (hypothetical)
We use the second conditional to talk about present or future situations very unlikely to happen: If I were a superhero, I would fly. (Up, up, and away! 🦸♂️) (condition) (result)
Next
third Conditional (hypothetical)
We use the second conditional to talk about past regrets or past situations and their results: If I had woken up earlier, I wouldn’t have missed my flight. (Condition) (result) (Oops! 😬✈️)

"Unless" – The Gatekeeper of Conditions!
Think of "unless" as a bouncer at a party! It says, “You can’t get in unless you have a friend with you.” Example: “I won’t go to the movies unless you come.” (You’re only going if your friend joins!)

Time clauses
We use time clauses to inform when something happens, that is, add a condition of time. We can find two types very similar to conditional sentences: a) To talk about real facts (when, as soon as, the moment that...) and they follow the zero conditional structure: - Water boils when you heat it. b) To talk about future situations (when, as soon as...). They follow the first conditional structure: - I will take you to the cinema when you finish your work
