Las tolerancias geométricas complementan las especificaciones que se dan con las tolerancias dimensionales o con el acabado superficial y tienen que ver con los aspectos funcionales del producto. Vemos, pues, que en la fabricación se producen irregularidades geométricas que pueden afectar

  • a la forma,
  • posición y
  • orientación
de los diferentes elementos constructivos de las piezas.

Tolerancias de rugosidad

Dentro del mundo de la tecnología, se observan gran cantidad de piezas que han de ponerse en contacto con otras y deslizar a altas velocidades. El acabado final y la textura de una superficie es de gran importancia e influencia para definir:

  • la capacidad de desgaste,
  • lubricación,
  • resistencia a la fatiga y
  • aspecto externo de una pieza o material,
por lo que la rugosidad es un factor importante a tener en cuenta.

AJUSTE: Diferencia entre las medidas de dos piezas que han de acoplar, antes del montaje Según las tolerancias de las dos piezas a acoplar, puede haber:

  • AJUSTE CON JUEGO O MÓVIL
  • AJUSTE CON APRIETO O FIJO
  •  AJUSTE INDETERMINADO
