Historical context

The Socialist realism have his origin in the neoclasicism and in the realism traditional of the rusian literature in the XIX centurty , who describe the simple life of the peasnt village.To which is added the narration of their struggles against their social order.

Characteristics

Its objective is to exalt the common working class, whether industrial or agricultural , by presenting their life , work, and recreation as admirable in themselve.In other words , its goal is to educate the people in the vision and meaning of socialism. The ultimate goal is to create what Lenin called a completely new type of human being:The New Soviet Man

Artists

Isak Brodski

He was a Soviet painter of socialist realism, famous for his paintings of Lenin and Stalin. He directed the Academy of Arts in Leningrad and his work influenced Soviet propaganda.

aleksander guerasinov

He was a Soviet painter of social realism, known for his portraits of Stalin. He was the first president of the USSR Academy of Arts. He won the Stallin Prize several times. Its influence waned after Stallin's death.

Arkady Pastov

He was a Soviet painter noted for his socialist realism and scenes of rural life. He was born into a peasant family in Prislonikha and studied arts in Moscow. His works, such as Lunch in the Field, idealize peasant work and collectivization. He received the Stalin Award and other honors. His legacy captures Soviet rural life with realism and lyricism

Lenins on the tribune

Lenin's painting on the rostrum by Isak Brodsky is an example of socialist realism. Lenin is the main point, standing and gesticulating with authority, surrounded by figures symbolizing the nation of the people. Dark tones with touches of revolutionary red predominate. The illumination highlights Lenin, giving him a heroic air. The work idealizes his leadership and communist mobilization.
