TIEMPOS VERBALES

Formation: Affirmative: Subject + will + base verb (They will travel). Negative: Subject + won’t + base verb (I won’t forget). Interrogative: Will + subject + base verb? (Will you help?). Uses: Decisiones espontáneas, predicciones, promesas. Time Expressions: tomorrow, next year, in the future.

FUTURE SIMPLE (WILL)

Formation: Affirmative: Subject + am/is/are + verb-ing (They are running). Negative: Subject + am not/isn’t/aren’t + verb-ing (She isn’t studying). Interrogative: Am/Is/Are + subject + verb-ing? (Are you listening?). Uses: Acciones en curso, planes futuros cercanos. Time Expressions: now, at the moment, this week.

Present Continous

Formation: Affirmative: Subject + past verb (She called). Negative: Subject + didn’t + base verb (They didn’t go). Interrogative: Did + subject + base verb? (Did you see it?). Uses: Acciones completadas en el pasado. Time Expressions: yesterday, last week, in 2010.

PAST SIMPLE

Formation: Affirmative: I/You/We/They + base verb | He/She/It + verb + -s/-es (She reads). Negative: I/You/We/They + don’t + base verb | He/She/It + doesn’t + base verb (He doesn’t dance). Interrogative: Do + I/you/we/they + base verb? | Does + he/she/it + base verb? (Does it rain here?). Uses: Hábitos, verdades generales, horarios fijos. Time Expressions: always, every day, usually.

PRESENT SIMPLE

Formation: Affirmative: Subject + have/has been + verb-ing (I have been working). Negative: Subject + haven’t/hasn’t been + verb-ing (She hasn’t been sleeping). Interrogative: Have/Has + subject + been + verb-ing? (Has he been exercising?). Uses: Acciones que empezaron en el pasado y continúan, énfasis en la duración. Time Expressions: for, since, all day, lately.

-I/you/we/they had played soccer-He/she/It had played soccer(verbos regulares terminan en "-ed",verbos irregulares usan la tercera columna verbal.
  • Ejemplo con verbo irregular:
-He had ate too much food before going to sleep.
  • Negative
-I/you/we/they had not (hadn't) played soccer.-He/She/It had not (hadn't) played soccer.Interrogative -Had/you/we/they played soccer? -> yes , we had/No, we hadn't -Had/I/you/we/they played soccer? -> yes , I had/No, I hadn't
  • Para acciones que ocurrieron de otra acción en el pasado (pasado del pasado).
- When we started, she had already finished.
  • Para enfatizar el orden de los evento que ocurrieron en pasado:
-I had finished my homework before dinner. Para dar razones o explica algo en el pasado: -She was tired because she had worked all day
