In Japan

Japan (formally 日本国, Nippon-koku) is an island country in East Asia. It is located in the northwestern Pacific Ocean and is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan, extending from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea, the Philippine Sea, and Taiwan in the south.

What are schools like?

Compulsory subjects include Japanese language, social studies, mathematics, science, and English. Electives include music, art, physical education, and foreign languages other than English.

In Japan, primary and secondary education is compulsory and free for all children. Primary school lasts 6 years, while secondary school lasts 3 years. After high school, students can choose to attend a technical school or a high school.

You can use an alarm clock or your mobile phone. 6:10 AM - Personal hygiene: Wash your face, brush your teeth, and shower if necessary. 6:30 AM - Breakfast: Typically a Japanese breakfast, which may include rice, miso, grilled fish, and tea. 7:00 AM - Prepare for School: Dresses up in school uniform and packs your backpack with books, notebooks, and lunch (bento). 7:30 AM - Go to school: Leave home and head to the train station or bus stop. Public transportation is common.

You can use textbooks and online resources. 8:00 PM - Dinner: Dinner with the family, which could include rice, soup, vegetables, and meat or fish. 8:30 PM - Free time: You can read, watch TV, play video games, or chat with friends online. 10:00 PM - Prepare for sleep: Wash your face, brush your teeth, and prepare for sleep. 10:30 PM - Sleep: Lies down to rest and be ready for the next day.
