Amanda was born in 1986 in Thousand Oaks, California. At the age of 7 she was cast in the comedy show "all that" in 1996. Some years later she got her own show: "the Amanda's show". In the 2000 she won the "kid's choice award" as favorite female TV star.

The beginning

In 2002 she played the main role in the movie: "she's the man". She played the role of Viola, a girl that dresses up as her brother to join the school football team.

The most famous movie

In 2007 she participated at the musical "hairspray", from this she received a lot of appreciation. She moves from light comedies to more complex roles, like the one in "Easy A". She performed as the "bad" of the school.

During her career

At the beginning of 2010 she wanted to leave the world of the television.In 2012 she had incidents whit the police and she was subjected to psychiatric treatments. Her problems were associated with bipolar disorder and drug and alcohol abuse.

Life break down

In 2013 she was arrested several times.In 2014 she had a guardian that controlled her finances and legal decisions. She had a long process of rehabilitation. She accused her father of having abused her, than she said it was Dan Schneider. In these years she enrolled the Los Angeles academy of fashion and art.

Life break down

In 2018 start to talk to the social media about her recovery progress. In 2019 she founded a clothing brand called "Abby", that didn't have much commercial impact, but helped to rebuild her life.
