Welcome! This challenge is designed to refresh your memory on key functionalities in KP HealthConnect (KPHC) you may have forgotten—or introduce you to something new. If you find the tasks easy, that’s great! You'll escape in no time. If you have questions, please ask. We’re here to help you escape. As you work through each puzzle, remember the numbers from each section to obtain the password to open the Informaticists' Magical Inkpad that stamps your passport. Just like the NCLEX, we’re looking for the best answer, not just an answer that works. So before making a choice, ask yourself: What Would Florence Do? But fear not: An error is but a lesson in disguise. You can always try again.

A dermatologist comes to the unit to do a punch biopsy on your patient. The MD asks you to print labels to place on the specimen containers. In the past you might have used an ADT (patient name) label for pathology specimens (CSF, biopsy, etc) because they didn't print when you clicked the print button. In October 2024, that all changed. Let's walk through the process together.
Next
Let's collect a specimen for pathology
Click on the print label link for the skin punch biopsy to start the process.
Answer the hard stop questions on the form.
If the printer field is blank, choose your Label Printer using the magnifying glass.
