In the clinic setting, medical assistants will sometimes be at the front desk to assist patients checking in and out of the office.Patients will ask questions such as, "How much will my insurance pay?" "Why are this provider's fees different than my other provider's fees?" "What do I owe?" As an office medical assistant, you will handle questions like this every day. In this course, we will learn about insurance and billing, medical coding, collections and reimbursement, and collecting patient data.
