Famous case

Ted Bundy

The Ted Bundy case is one of the most infamous serial killer cases in American history. He was active during the 1970s, targeting young women across several states. His charm and inteligence allowed him to evade capture multiple times, but forensic odontology played a crucial rol in his conviction.

The body of one of his victims, Lisa Levy, had a distinct bite mark. Investigators took detailed photographs and dental impressions of it. Bundy had distinctive, crooked, and chipped teeth, wich were unusual and easily identifiable. Dental experts took impressions of Bundy's teeth after his arrest and compared them with the bite marks found on Levy's body.

They were a perfect match !

Forensic odontology remains a powerful tool in the pursuit of justice, proving that even the smallest imprint can leave a lasting mark on the truth.
