Christmas Log (Tió de Nadal)
Gorka Villar, Joel Tak, Eric Aguado.
The Tió de Nadal is a common Christmas tradition in Cataluña and Aragón which consists of drawing a face on a thick log, covering it with a blanket.
The tió of Nadal is a tradition of rural and pre-Christian origin made in Cataluña and Aragón, originally representing the log that was burnt in the home in the winter months. In earlier times it was conceived as a tribute to the ancestors on Christmas Day, the log was burnt and the ashes were dispersed in the fields.
