Why is this important?
Taking Care of Our Bones
Healthy Bones
- Eating the right foods and playing helps our bones grow strong.
- It’s important to take care of our bones when we are young because they are growing fast!
- We also need Vitamin D to help our bones. We get Vitamin D from the sun, fish like salmon, and eggs.
- Good activities for bones:
- Dancing, running, jumping, and playing tennis help make our bones strong!
- To keep our bones strong, we need to eat 3 servings of milk, yogurt, or cheese every day.
- One serving is:
- 200ml of milk
- 125g of yogurt
- 25g of cheese
- Milk, yogurt, and cheese help make our bones and teeth strong because they give us calcium.
