ABSENCES If a student is not present in class (illness, doctor’s appointment, R.E.S.E.T., class field trip, testing, make up work for another teacher etc.), they ARE NOT eligible to earn credit. Students have the opportunity to make up that grade by completing THEIR CHOICE of make up work which can be found in Canvas:
- 30 min of physical activity outside of school and document that activity on the make up form (30 min for each day absent).
- A spectator analysis in which they watch their sport of choice and complete questions based on that sport.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES Electronic devices should be kept in one of two places: 1. The cellphone storages by the locker rooms -OR-stored in student backpack. NOT IN POCKETS, IT WILL BE A REFERRAL!
FOOD AND DRINK Food or drink are not allowed in the gym or locker rooms. Water bottles ONLY! The gym in a NO GUM ZONE!
Illness • injury • non-dress If a student is feeling ill, has an injury or forgets PE clothing, receives their third strike, they are entitled to filling out an “On the Bench Worksheet”. This worksheet allows them to describe the days activity. If non-participation is longer than two days, a note is needed from a doctor. If injury occurs during PE, please report to Mrs. Porter IMMEDIATELY!
