CHARLES DICKENS

Charles dickens was born in 1812 on Portsmouth.He is one of the greatest English novelist.He wrote 14 novels and the most important is ..OLIVER TWIST... Dickens had an unhappy childhood because at 12 years he worked in the factory.DICKENS'first success was the PICKWICK PAPERS. In finally Charles Dickens died in 1870 in GAD'S HILL.

Oliver Twist is the story of an orphan .He grows up in a workhouse and runs away to London . There he is adopted by a gang of criminals ,who force him to help them in their crimes. One of the gang,NANCY,saves him and a kind gentleman gives him a new opportunity in life.The novel uses Oliver's experiences to critique the social and economic conditions of Victorian England.
