Structure

This gives the robot its shape and holds all its components.

Ultrasonic sensor
Measures distances by calculating the time it takes from an ultrtasonic wave to reach an object and return Transmitter (Ultrasonic Emitter): Sends out high-frequency sound waves that travel through the air until they hit an object. Receiver (Ultrasonic Sensor): Detects the returning sound waves and measures the time it takes for the echo to return. Microcontroller: Processes the time delay between sending and receiving the waves to calculate the distance. Connector: Links the ultrasonic sensor to the mBot 2’s main board for communication with the robot’s processor.
Actuator:Motor
Converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, allowing the robot to move. It can be a DC motor or a servo motor.
Energy:battery
The battery is the power source that provides energy to the robot to function. It supplies the necessary electrical power for the motors, sensors, and other components to operate. The mBot 2 typically uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is both lightweight and efficient, allowing the robot to run for a reasonable amount of time before needing to be recharged.
Light sensor

Detects changes in ambient light, such as transitioning from light to darkness.

Push button
Allows or interrupts the flow of electric current only when pressed.
CyberPi
Is an educational microcontroller enhanced with network capabilities, built-in sensors and much more like a motion sensor. You can put it out of the structure and to move it from distance or you can put it on the structure of the robot
Color sensor
Recognizes the colors red, green, and blue. The key parts of the mBot 2 color sensor are: Light Sensor (Photodiodes): The sensor contains a set of light sensors that detect the color of the surface beneath it. These sensors work by emitting light and measuring how much of the light is reflected back. Different colors reflect light in different ways, allowing the sensor to identify them. LED Lights: The sensor includes built-in LED lights that emit light onto the surface. The LEDs help illuminate the surface, allowing the sensor to get more accurate readings of reflected light.

Connector: The color sensor has a connector that allows it to be plugged into the mBot 2's main board. This connector facilitates communication between the sensor and the robot's central processing unit. Microcontroller: The sensor has a small microcontroller that processes the data received from the light sensors and communicates it with the mBot 2's main brain (controller). It helps interpret the color information and send it to the robot’s main controller for processing.

Push button
Allows or interrupts the flow of electric current only when pressed.
Brain
Refers to the central processing unit or the main controller of the robot. It is the core component that processes input from sensors, executes the programmed instructions, and controls the robot's actions.
Push button
Allows or interrupts the flow of electric current only when pressed.
Wheels
They are large rubber wheels mounted on plastic rims and they have two parts:the wheel hub and the tires. These wheels have encoders which measure the rotation of the wheels, allowing precise control of the robot’s speed and distance traveled. The rubber surface provides good traction, making the robot move forward, backward, and turn smoothly. Additionally, there is usually a third support point, like a caster wheel or slider underneath, which helps balance the robot while it moves.
Connectors and wiring
Connectors and wiring in the mBot2 are components that provide power and enable communication between the main controller, sensors, and motors. They ensure stable connections for transferring energy and data, allowing the robot to function properly.
