Il Pavimento, l' Oculus e le Nicchie.
L' oculus, un'apertura circolare nel centro della cupola che permette al sole di filtrare all'interno. Nelle nicchie sono sepolte molte figure storiche importanti. Il rivestimento del pavimento è in lastre di granito con un disegno di quadrati in cui sono inscritti alternativamente cerchi o quadrati più piccoli

Perchè si chiama Panteom?
Cassio Dione Cocceiano, nelle sue Istorie Romane, afferma che il Pantheon aveva questo nome proprio perché accoglieva le statue di molte divinità e perché la cupola richiamava la volta celeste alludendo alle sette divinità planetarie.
