Lennie, the Library Guinea!
Can I hold or pet Lennie?
🐹Lennie LOVES his Wakeland friends! He has been known to nibble on fingers or bite, so you can't hold him. However, he loves it when you pet his nose and head with your finger. Can I check Lennie out for the weekend or holiday?
🧳Yes! I just need written permission from your parents that they are okay with it. Can I feed Lennie?
🥗Yes! Lennie loves when his friends bring him special treats like fruits and vegetables, or leftover salad. If you don't have anything it's ok, just hold up a long piece of hay from his feeder and he will be so happy! Wait, where did you get his name?
👋When my kids were little we watched a lot of Wonder Pets and their classroom Guinea Pig was named Lennie! I didn't teach English... I promise it's not from Of Mice and Men. Not sure what that means? The book is available in the Classics Section :).

Can I print in the library?
🖨️Yes! We have a student printer in the back by the large Chewbacca cutout. You can print from the desktop computer there or your Chromebook. It occasionally has an attitude problem and goes offline. Need help? How many books can I check out?
📚Students can check out 5 books at a time! You can keep them for 3 weeks. What if I need my book longer than 3 weeks?
⏰We don't have late fines. You can renew your book anytime in the library at the self-checkout computer. How do I see what books I have checked out?
⏰You can come to the self-checkout computer and type in your ID or check online.

How do I get a Chromebook?
💻Complete the Canvas course and pay the insurance fee. What if something is wrong or it breaks There are a few things you can try first! 🚨If it isn't powering on or the screen is white, first try a Hard Reset then a Powerwash Those didn’t work and I need more help.
🚑Come to the library. If you can, put a ticket in the student portal; otherwise, come let us help. I forgot my Chromebook. Can I borrow one?
🤔No, we get one per student. Your teacher can print your work for you, or the Instructional Coaches have carts in their rooms to help supplement.

What are the library hours?
🕰️The library is open 8:30 - 4:25 every day. We occasionally have to close for meetings or when the space is needed. How does Power Lunch work in the Library? 🍔You are welcome to come to the library during lunch! You can also eat here (remember to clean up your mess). Due to space limitations, the doors are open for the first 5 minutes of lunch and at the second half for 5 minutes. You can leave at any time, but you can only enter within those first 5 minutes. Can I come to the library during an off period? 📓No, sorry. District policy states that if you do not have a class, you cannot be on campus.
