Basilico
Il basilico è una pianta aromatica simbolo del Mediterraneo e della sua dieta, dalle elevate proprietà nutrizionali. Il basilico o Ocimum basilicum è una pianta erbacea della famiglia delle Lamiaceae e inserita nel gruppo delle aromatiche. È ritenuto simbolo del Mediterraneo è fonte di vitamina C, ferro e calcio.
Lattuga
La lattuga è una delle verdure a foglia più popolari e viene utilizzata in tutto il mondo per insalate, sandwich, hamburger e come ingrediente per molti piatti. Il suo nome deriva dal latino lac, lactis (latte) per via del liquido lattiginoso biancastro ed amarognolo che fuoriesce dalla recisione del cespo.
Peperoncino
Il peperoncino ha un apporto energetico moderato, fornito principalmente dai carboidrati (fruttosio); le proteine sono molto scarse, così come i lipidi. E' privo di colesterolo e contiene un buona percentuale di fibra alimentare.
Menta
La menta piperita è un'erba alta da qualche cm a circa 70 cm, con steli eretti e radici rizomatose che si espandono notevolmente nel suolo. Ha foglie opposte, semplici, lanceolate e ricoperte di una leggera peluria di colore verde brillante.
Girasole
Il girasole, è una pianta annuale caratterizzata da uno stelo tendenzialmente peloso, di altezza variabile dai 300 ai 500 cm percorso da foglie alternate; le radici sono a fittone e i fiori di ampie dimensioni presentano petali gialli e comportamento eliotropo.

Pomodoro
Povero di zuccheri e grassi, il pomodoro ha proprietà diuretiche, aperitive, rinfrescanti e moderatamente lassative. Il suo succo, spremuto e bevuto al mattino, combatte la stitichezza cronica e allevia i disturbi renali legati a calcolosi; è un ottimo ricostituente e risulta utile per combattere reumatismi e gotta.
Fragola
Le fragole sono frutti di dimensioni ridotte (circa 8-10 volte più piccole di una mela ma 3-4 volte più grandi di una mora); in piena maturazione si presentano di colore rosso vivo e pigmentato di giallognolo-verdino (colore conferito dai numerosissimi e piccoli acheni esterni, comunemente scambiati per semi*).
Aglio
L'aglio è una fonte di antiossidanti e dei precursori di una molecola, l'allicina, dotata di attività antibatterica, antivirale e antimicotica. L'allicina è anche un'alleata della salute cardiovascolare perché riducendo la rigidità dei vasi sanguigni aiuta ad abbassare la pressione del sangue.
