Sim2 was founded in 1995 when projection was linked to 3 CRT tubes and digital technologies were just starting. Sim2 was the leader in analog technology (CRT based) and began to study digital technology in video transmissions and display. In 1998 SIM2 decided to marry the DLP technology of Texas Instruments, then very immature but with great prospects. In the following 20 years Sim2 has developed many of the most innovative technological solutions bringing the products based on DLP technology to the highest levels of quality and performance in many cases exceeding the most optimistic forecasts of Texas Instruments.

The DLP technology is based on micro mirrors that modulate the light delivered to the screen.
