Lecture Series (10 x 90 mins)
The core of the course is a series of lectures presented by renowned scientists of the field. The lectures are categorized in three groups. Collective behavior in nature (3 talks), modeling collective behavior (5 talks), and bio-inspired distributed synthetic systems (2 talks).

Ethics Discussion (1 x 120 mins)
An interactive ethics panel discussion will further facilitate scientific discourse about the ethical considerations of collective behavior research. Here, participants have the chance to directly adress ethical considerations with the help of an expert within a fishbowl discussion format.

Lab Tour (1 x 120 mins)
A laboratory tour will allow participants to have a broader overview in current topics related to collective intelligence research at the Science of Intelligence Cluster in Berlin.

Agent-based Modeling and Mixed Reality (2 x 5h)
A two-day programming course will show the basics of agent-based programming using python/pygame. The created collective behavior model(s) will be then transferred to a mixed reality system, such that the creators of these artifacts can interact with their creations in an immersive experience.
