Emotions Emotions are like colorful little signals inside us that help us understand how we feel and what we need. Sometimes we feel happy, excited or proud, and other times we might feel sad, scared or angry. Emotional intelligence means recognizing and understanding our emotions in a healthy and constructive way. Knowing how to manage our emotions helps us make better choices, solve problems, and be more pleasant for other people to be around.

Reading Comprehension

Read the text below aloud.

Inside Out is a popular movie that explores human emotion and the depths of our minds. The main character, Riley, has five main emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust. Each internal emotion helps Riley react to what is happening around her. In the story, Riley moves to a new town, which makes her nervous - life changes completely. The emotions have to work together to help Riley through this transition.

Eventually, Riley learns that Sadness is not just a negative emotion. It is important because it helps her connect with others who comfort her. In the end, Riley feels better because she understands the spectrum of her emotions, not just the happy ones. What a wonderful lesson!
