National Finals joining instructions
- You and your competitor will receive joining instructions with all the important information needed for the National Finals
- Information on where the competitor will be staying
- Venue details of where your competitor’s competition will be taking place
- Timetable for the week’s activities
- Any special instructions your competitors need to be aware of
Pre-competition paperwork
- For foundation skills competitions please ensure that you inform us of any specific needs or special requirements by completing the state of support form
- Ensure all relevant paperwork (parental consent) are submitted
Announcement of Finalists
- Scores are quality assured, and finalists will be announced on the WorldSkills UK website
- The list of finalists can be found here
- Competition Organising Partners will provide tools and resources to help competitor preparation
- Support competitors to take part in any pre-final training and development activities
- There are also a range of resources available on our Learning Lab

Engage you learners
- Engage your learners with the pre competition activity
- Familiarise yourself with the rules and entry criteria
- Participate in local activities, where applicable, to identify suitable competitors
Entry stage preparation
- Actively support your competitors with their technical development of the required skills
National Finals
- Finalists will compete over three days of activities at various locations in south Wales
- A list of the venues where competitions will be taking place can be found here
Pre-final competition preparation
- You will receive your competitors developmental feedback on their performance at the qualifier stage
- Using this feedback continue to support your competitor’s development
- Support your learners to ensure all the necessary arrangements (including travel and equipment) in good time ahead of the national finals

Developmental feedback from National Finals
- Those who are age eligible and have achieved a benchmark score may be invited to opt into squad UK, and ultimately have chance of representing the UK at the WorldSkills International competitions in Japan 2028
Registration
- Register your learners for the competitions
- Ensure they complete registrations by agreeing to terms and conditions

National qualifiers
- Your learner competes in a live event across the UK or online
- The national qualifiers take place over a period of one day either physically at venues across the UK or online depending on the competition
- A list of all qualifier heats can be found here
Medal ceremony
- All medallists will be announced at the medal ceremony taking place at the International Convention Centre in Newport, Wales
- We will also be holding the medal ceremony for the foundation skills competitions at Cardiff and Vale College

- Continue to support competitors with technical development of required skill
- Where applicable support your learner in choosing and attending a qualifier heat

Entry stage
- This is the first stage of the competition cycle which will involve a remote activity usually lasting 1-2 hours
- Each individual competition will have their own date for the entry test which will be emailed to you
- This must be completed by the individual
