As an Ultimate Medical Academy Employee working remotely, I understand that I MUST:

Must Do's under the Business Continuity plan (BCP) Remote Work

12

Complete UMA work only on UMA-provided physical devices or a UMA-provided virtual desktop interface with a hardwired internet connection and internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps Download/ 10 Mbps Upload, which connection and speeds will be obtained and maintained at the team member’s expense if the team member’s work location is not maintained or procured by UMA.

Be available via videoconferencing, if required by UMA.

Maintain UMA-provided equipment in good working condition and allow UMA IT professionals (and only UMA IT professionals) access UMA equipment as necessary for troubleshooting, maintenance, and/or repairs.

Assume responsibility for maintaining approved personal computers or other approved personal devices in good working order and protected with antivirus software that meets UMA’s requirements, without reliance on technical support from UMA’s IT department.

Adhere to all UMA policies, including (for non-exempt team members) only performing work after clocking into UMA’s approved system for timekeeping and before clocking out of that system and getting manager approval prior to any overtime work.

Use only the Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) phone designated by UMA when communicating with students and/or prospective students over the phone (e.g., the team member’s home phone or cell phone).

Continue to meet performance expectations for their role and perform the same core job functions for their position as if the team member were working at a UMA location.

Be logged in to the same systems one would if working on-site, regardless of using UMA-provided physical equipment or UMA-provided virtual desktop access.

Use a personal mobile device to receive UMA email only as approved under UMA’s mobile device policy and on a device approved under that policy.

Adhere to the specifications of the job description applicable to their position, including any associated physical requirements or restrictions (e.g, most UMA jobs require the occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and team members are expected to keep any lifting associated with their remote work to that range).

Work only in a location that is quiet (meaning ambient noise should not rise to a level that would be audible to called parties), and in a private working space that is dedicated to work (shared public spaces such as libraries, coffee houses, restaurants, or malls are not permitted, and the workspace should be free of televisions, pets, children, or other occupants during the workday).

Lock and secure information when stepping away from an UMA device or a personal device on which UMA’s virtual desktop is being used (as is always required by UMA policies).
