The town is filled with quirky, strange characteres, but it's still grounded in the ordinary, with people more focused on things like scholl and family. In contrast, victor is a dreamer and an experimenter who is willing to do something like bringing his dog back from th dead. This highlights his sens of being diferetn and the tension between the ordinary world and is extroardinary ambitions.

Victor's intellectuel and emotional isolation is highlighted by his environment. While the world around him is busy with typical, everyday activities, victor is absorbed in his own ideas and struggls to connect with others. His environment sems to be indefferentor even hostile to his ambitions, particularly when he brings sparky back to life and cause chaos .
