INTRODUCTION
This handbook is designed to provide information about our company, working conditions, employee benefits, and policies related to working conditions. It is recommended that you read, understand, and fully comply with its provisions. The manual also describes many of the employee's responsibilities and provides detailed information on the benefits offered by FUERZA LATINA for the welfare of its employees. One of our main objectives is to provide an adequate work environment for the personal and professional growth of our human talent. No employee handbook can anticipate all the circumstances or doubts that may arise about the policies. However, it is essential to mention that as FUERZA LATINA grows, our institutional policies may need to be revised, supplemented, or adjusted at the sole discretion of FUERZA LATINA and when the company deems it appropriate, in which case each of our employees will be duly notified with the information of the changes made.
Part I Getting to know
Fuerza Latina Inc. was founded in January 2001 by a group of Hispanic entrepreneurs, Carlos Cardona, Pablo Cardona, and Paola Lopez. They were interested in help to the Hispanic community in metro Atlanta, covering their needs for Auto Insurance, Tax Preparation, and other services or documentation that the Latino community may require. Over the years, Fuerza Latina has grown in terms of the services provided and market. Today, it has consolidated itself as a Multiservice company with a broad portfolio for all its customers and is expanding its market not only to the Latino community but to the general level, expanding into new locations to become one of the leading agencies in the Georgia metro area, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. Fuerza Latina is based on the philosophy of being a family organization and the principles and values that prevail both in the provision of services and in labor relations. Mutual support, teamwork, solidarity, companionship, and union are the fundamental basis of this company, which makes each collaborator feel part of this family and each client a friend of the company.

FUERZA LATINA's management philosophy is based on responsibility and mutual respect. Our employees are the essential pillar of the company, and each has a direct commitment to our customers, demonstrating that the relationship with them makes a difference in the market. People who get to know our agency seek to be part of it, attracted by a work environment that promotes creativity, growth, and continuous improvement.
ADMINISTRATION
FUERZA LATINA's strategy is focused on offering superior customer service to our competitors. To achieve this goal, we attract motivated individuals willing to work in teams and share the values of commitment, responsibility, and discipline necessary to fulfill our aspirational future.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
At FUERZA LATINA, we are committed to providing everyone equal employment and professional development opportunities. Employment decisions will be made based on each employee's merit, qualifications, and capabilities. FUERZA LATINA guarantees an environment free of discrimination, ensuring that employment opportunities and practices are not influenced by factors such as race, color, religion, sex, nationality, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. This policy applies to all aspects of employment within FUERZA LATINA, including the selection process, job assignment, compensation, sanctions, termination, and access to benefits and training. Any employee who has doubts or suspicions about possible acts of discrimination in the workplace should immediately contact his or her supervisor or the Human Resources Department, who will attend to his or her case urgently. Employees can express their concerns and file complaints without fear of retaliation. If it is confirmed that an employee has engaged in discriminatory behavior, disciplinary measures will be applied, which may include termination of employment.
Part II EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIPS
EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIPS
FUERZA LATINA is committed to maintaining close relationships with all employees. Therefore, it is a priority to respond promptly to any concerns related to the performance of their position in the company, their work system, schedules, or others. Thus, FUERZA LATINA demonstrates its commitment to the welfare and development of its team. FUERZA LATINA considers the working conditions and salaries offered to its employees highly competitive compared to those of other companies in the sector. If employees have questions or concerns about these conditions or their compensation, they should address them directly to their supervisors through regular communication channels.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Each employee is responsible for informing FUERZA LATINA of any changes in their personal information, including their mailing address, telephone numbers, and the names and contact information of dependents or persons to be notified in case of emergency.
TRIAL PERIOD
All new and rehired employees will begin work under a probationary period of 90 calendar days from the hire date. This period allows new employees to demonstrate their ability to achieve a satisfactory level of performance and assess whether the position meets their expectations. During this time, FUERZA LATINA will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of each employee's skills, work habits, and overall performance. Any significant absence will automatically extend the probationary period for the duration of such absence. If FUERZA LATINA determines that the designated probationary period does not constitute sufficient time to evaluate the employee's performance properly, it shall be extended for a specified period.
The training process for new employees lasts three (3) weeks and is guided by the company's training team, with the support of the leaders of each Department. This training consists of theoretical and practical sessions, and its main objective is to provide the required knowledge about the basic procedures, services, and products offered by FUERZA LATINA, sales strategies, and customer service. During this period, new employees will be responsible for fulfilling the assigned tasks, applying the knowledge they acquire, and achieving a great understanding by assimilating FUERZA LATINA's procedures.
INDUCTION AND INITIAL TRAINING
(PERFORMANCE EVALUATION)
The employee's performance will be evaluated through follow-up audits during the 90 days following their entry (probationary period), and based on this evaluation, the concepts necessary for the employee to perform their duties efficiently and effectively will be reinforced.
INDUCTION AND INITIAL TRAINING
(PERFORMANCE EVALUATION)
From the fourth week onwards, the new employees are assigned to work in one of FUERZA LATINA's offices. During this week, they are accompanied by one of the members of the Training team, who ensures that the technical knowledge previously acquired is correctly applied in their management. Supervisors give the new employees daily and informal feedback, discussing their performance and fulfillment of objectives with them. In addition, formal performance appraisals are conducted to provide opportunities for both supervisors and employees to discuss work tasks, identify and correct weaknesses, encourage and recognize strengths, and discuss determined and positive approaches to achieving goals.
Part III INSTITUTIONAL BENEFITS
1. The application
2. Rest days
3. Approved time in days
4. Vacation benefits
VACATION
All employees with one year of seniority in FUERZA LATINA enjoy the benefit of paid annual vacation, which provides the opportunity to rest, relax, and engage in personal activities. The following parameters govern the current vacation policy:
HOLIDAYS
FUERZA LATINA offers its employees a break on certain National Holidays so that our employees can rest and spend time with their families. Paid Holidays: Labor Day Christmas New Year’s Day Non-Paid Holidays: Independence Day Thanksgiving
EMPLOYEE BIRTHDAYS
All of our employees are the primary basis for the optimal functioning of our company and represent a lot to FUERZA LATINA, so celebrating their birthday is an important day for us, and we celebrate it too. For this reason, we give our employees as their day off, the day of their birthday so they can celebrate it in the company of their loved ones, and we also give them a gift to celebrate their special day.
SICK DAYS
FUERZA LATINA values the health of its employees and considers their well-being paramount. Therefore, the company grants all employees a special benefit of paid sick days during a period of temporary absence due to illness or injury. All employees who have worked for more than one year have the benefit of 5 sick days per year, which can be used for an absence due to illness or personal injury. If the employee wishes to use one of these days, they must inform their supervisor before the start of the workday, who will not be able to come, as far as possible, depending on the situation.
Suppose the employee presents a more delicate health situation due to illness or injury and requires their absence for several consecutive days. In that case, they must present a medical certificate validating their inability and the estimated start and end date. This benefit is intended to protect our employees only in the event of illness or injury. It cannot be used for any other type of absence, nor can it be accumulated as additional vacation time. Also, this benefit is calculated on a “calendar year” basis and is not cumulative. Likewise, employees who leave the company may not request payment for sick days not taken during the one year at the termination of employment.
SICK DAYS
MONETARY ALLOWANCE
Agent's License
FUERZA LATINA recognizes that its employees' skills and knowledge are fundamental to the development of their work and the fulfillment of the company's objectives. That is why all employees who join the company as sales representatives must first get their Notary Seal before the end of their probationary period, considering that we offer this service to our customers in all Fuerza Latina offices. Secondly, they are requested to take the course to obtain the Insurance Agent License (Property and Casualty), which must be completed within 6 months of their entry. This license will allow our new collaborators to enhance their knowledge of insurance and will give them many additional tools to complement what they have learned in the training process.
MONETARY ALLOWANCE
Agent's License
In both cases, FUERZA LATINA will reimburse the money invested as an aid to our employees' learning and growth. Additionally, the interest of new employees in completing these two requirements will be recognized. A salary adjustment will be generated by the salary policy when they obtain their Agent Course certificate. ($2) The certificates obtained, together with the corresponding supporting documents, must be sent to the Human Resources Department to be eligible for the corresponding allowance.
ENDOWMENT BONUS
Bearing that each of our employees represents the image of our offices, FUERZA LATINA offers an Endowment Bonus of $200 to employees who complete their probationary period in the company.
Part IV WORKING CONDITIONS
SCHEDULE
The Human Resources Department reports the schedule weekly for Georgia state offices. Each manager is responsible for timekeeping for offices located in South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama.
The workday for FUERZA LATINA employees is 40 hours per week. The work week is scheduled from Saturday to Friday, and schedules are governed according to the following:
- 9-Hour workday
- Entry Time: 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. (depending on the office)
- Exit Time: 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. (depending on the office)
- Lunch Break: One hour per day (uncompensated)
- Work on Sundays on a rotating basis for all employees (Approximately 4 Sundays per year).
SCHEDULE
Compliance and punctuality with the established schedules are expected. If any employee has any contingency in complying with the schedule, this must be reported to the immediate supervisor with sufficient time. Sometimes, the schedule may be modified due to staff contingencies, holiday schedules, or other unforeseen events, which will also be reflected in the daily or weekly scheduled hours. Flexible schedules are acceptable, subject to negotiation with the appropriate supervisor. However, the approval of these schedules will be effective as long as it does not affect the regular operation of the business. They will also be evaluated concerning the employees' performance and conduct during the time worked.
ROTATION SYSTEM
The employees who complete their training will have a specific schedule under a rotation model, in which they are assigned to cover different offices daily. This process will allow them to get to know the various offices and gain more experience, and the schedule will be published in the weekly timetable. When available and depending on the work performance of the new employees, they may be selected as sales consultants in a specific office.
TIME REGISTRATION
Federal and state laws require FUERZA LATINA to keep accurate records of hours worked to calculate pay and benefits for employees. Therefore, all employees must keep accurate records of hours worked. In the event of any correction or modification to the time record, the employee and the supervisor must verify the accuracy of the changes before they are reported to the payroll area. All employees will be paid overtime compensation following federal and state laws and hourly rates.
DRESS CODE
All Fuerza Latina employees are important in conveying our corporate identity, reflecting a solid and unified image of the company's services and products. For this reason, FUERZA LATINA seeks to be represented by each of its employees with professionalism through their appearance and personal image. For this reason, a FORMAL-BUSINESS-CASUAL dress code is followed, which must be complemented by excellent personal hygiene and a pleasant appearance. This code outlines the exact guidelines to be followed in terms of appropriateness, inappropriateness, and other additional guidelines to be considered to represent the image of our company.

WORKPLACE AND TOOLS
It is the responsibility of each employee to keep his or her workspace clean and tidy, make it a pleasant place for customers, and ensure that all the tools and supplies needed to perform his or her duties are available. For this purpose, the inventory management and operations department is responsible for delivering office and cleaning supplies based on each office's monthly request made through the established digital format
TELEPHONE USAGE
To ensure effective communication, you should always use the established greeting and maintain a friendly and professional tone. The institutional greeting is defined by our slogan and is established as follows: “At Fuerza Latina, we are your helping hand. Good afternoon, this is (name of person).” In addition, it is important to verify the information provided by the caller and wait for the other party to hang up before the call ends. The use of the personal telephone is limited to the minimum to attend extraordinary cases or emergency calls. Constant use of the personal telephone interferes with the provision of service and customer service, so it is recommended to use it as little as possible during office hours. There is an inter-office call transfer system that ensures that customers are not left unattended. Resolving all their questions and needs is crucial, even if they do not correspond to the office receiving the call. Each employee is committed to being punctual and consistent with the information provided.
