This is the menu screen of Logbook. The following slides will focus on : Logbook Entries and View Dashboard. Which is Located on the left hand side of the screen.

We will get started with Logbook entries. Please Click on the "Logbook Entries" Tab.

This is Logbook Entries. The following slides will go into detail on how to navigate entrie tools and features.

Lets get started with the filters. Please select a filter to learn more about a filter.

With the use of Filters you can search for logs with the following:
- Author
- Note Type
- Start and End Date
- Department
- Search Engine

To the right, you will see six icons. These are various tools that will assists you.
- Create an Entry

When creating or editing an entry you have access to the Toolbar. From here you will be able to use many options to format your entries.

View Dashboard - Logbook previous entries
Logbook Entry History is similar in function as Task-lists dashboard feature. From here you will be able to view your sites entries based on Current and Archived entries.

Save button
Edit
This is your edit screen. You can also save the edit with the save icon located on the left of the screen.
Due to limitations of the application, you may only see a certain amount of post loaded. Continue scrolling to load in more entries.
Current Entries
Current Entries: this selection will show you all current entries available. Archived Entries: after 30 days from its initial creation, an entry will become archived.Only 100 post load in at a time. Scroll further down to load more entries.
Attach Files
You can attach files here
Copy
When you copy an entry. you will be redirected to this page to creat a copy.
- 1.remove format
- 2.insert/remove bullet list
- 3. remove/ insert number list
Remove format, insert bullet point, and insert/ remove number list.
Expand tool bar
Click on dotted line to expand the tool bar. To close the expaned tool bar select the upward pointing arrow. Once the tool bar is explaned more options to edit the page layout will be availible. Please make sure to highligh the text in your document to make changes
This is the Filter by Note search bar. Here you will be able to filter by notes that are uploaded into the system.

This is the Filter by Department tab. To use it, simply select the desired department to apply the filter.

Start and End Date
Start Date and End Date behave the same way. Here’s how to use it:
- Select the calendar icon, from here a popup will open.
- Using the arrow symbols will switch between month and year included.
- Selecting the month/year on its own will open a drop-down menu. This will allow you to change the year and month.

Here you can input a link by filling out the needed information.
This is the Search Logbook Entries search bar. Use it to manually search entries by typing. Please note that since the search function relies on data from SharePoint, it may not always be perfectly accurate. Use it with caution!
Search Logbook Entries
Date
By using the Start Date to End Date function you will be sorting entries based around a certain time period. Be aware that this function may not work as intended as data is coming directly from SharePoint. Use with caution!
- Bold
- Italic
- underline
Edit text
Here you will be able to edit the style of text. It can be bold, italic or underline
Format
Here you can change the text format
Create New Logbook Entry
Here you will be able to create an Entry or Cancel.
- First select new entry.
- Then select or a type of logbook entry.
- The screen will change to starter note
Search by
Here you can search by note or by name of person.
Printing
When you select to print an entry. You will be redirected to a pdf file window to print.
This is the End Date tab. Use it to filter all notes by their end date. Select a date and press 'Ok' to apply the filter

This is the Filter by Author Filter. Here you can select an author.
