How do you overcome writer's block?

“Start writing, even if the scene doesn't make it into the final book. It's a great way to get warmed up.”

Who is a fictional character you would love to meet?

“This is very niche, but Princess Eilonwy from Lloyd Alexander's 'Chronicles of Prydain' which were published in the '60s.”

What is a book you wish you had written?

“I wish I had written 'Ella Enchanted' which was my favorite book as a kid. I've read it at least, like, 50 times.”

If you were not a writer, what would you do?

“I would probably be a librarian. I really love what I do.”

Where is your favorite place to write?

“Trains are the best writing spots. You're away from home, and sort of stuck in a way you wouldn't be if you were in, like, a coffee shop.”
