Il musical SISTER ACT è tratto dall'omonimo film del 1992 che ha visto l'interpretazione di una favolosa attrice: Whoopi Goldberg

Woopi Goolberg interpreta Deloris, una scatenata cantante dei night club di Philadelphia. Purtroppo diventa testimone di un omicidio e la polizia decide di proteggerla nascondendola in un convento. Il travestimento da suora e la vita monacale non fanno proprio per Deloris. Tutto cambia quando Deloris inizia a dirigere lo stonatissimo coro di Suore trasformandolo in un fenomeno musicale. Il successo del coro attira l'attenzione, così i malviventi trovano la cantante che verrà protetta da tutto il Convento.

Ho scelto questo musical perchè parla di temi importanti e profondi in modo semplice e divertente. La protagonista è un vulcano di energia e ci mette tutto l'impegno che può per trasformare un coro stonato e demotivato in un gruppo unito che sa cantare veramente bene. Insomma è un musical divertentissimo ma che fa riflettere!
