Edvard Munch est né le 12 décembre 1863 à Løten, en Norvège. Il a grandi dans une famille marquée par la maladie et la mort, ce qui a profondément influencé son art. Il est devenu un peintre connu pour ses œuvres fortes et émotionnelles. Son tableau le plus célèbre, ''Le Cri'' (1893), est une représentation saisissante de l’angoisse existentielle. Edvard Munch a continué à peindre et à expérimenter tout au long de sa vie, développant un style unique qui a influencé de nombreux artistes du XXe siècle. Il est mort le 23 janvier 1944 à Ekely, près d’Oslo, en Norvège, laissant derrière lui un immense héritage artistique. Son travail est aujourd’hui exposé dans le Musée Munch à Oslo.

En conclusion, nous avons choisi Edvard Munch pour cet exposé parce que son art exprime des émotions très fortes, comme l’angoisse, la solitude et l’amour, des sentiments que tout le monde peut ressentir un jour. Ses tableaux, comme Le Cri ou La Madone, ne cherchent pas seulement à représenter la réalité, mais aussi ce qu’il ressentait au plus profond de lui. Son style unique et ses couleurs intenses ont marqué l’histoire de l’art et inspiré de nombreux artistes après lui. Son œuvre nous semblait donc intéressante à étudier, car elle permet de mieux comprendre comment la peinture peut exprimer des émotions et raconter une histoire sans utiliser de mots.
