Which begs the question... What's balance?

Yesterday, we dipped our toes into decision-making. Barely scratched the surface. The D.E.C.I.D.E. model? Feels like programming a robot. Works great for capital-B Big decisions—college, pregnancy, life-altering crossroads. But humans? Messy. Emotional. Most choices happen on autopilot, dictated by gut feelings and impulse. We’ll unpack that chaos soon. Decision-making? Just one piece of the mental health puzzle. You hear “mental health” constantly, but it’s not one thing—it’s an ecosystem. Yesterday, I threw you into an unfamiliar challenge. Maybe you’ve never touched engineering. Did you flop over and give up? Or did you see it as a puzzle worth solving? That mindset? Also mental health. Today, we’re adding another piece: stress.

Homeostasis. Your body’s perfect settings—right temperature, right glucose levels, right everything. Stress? The thing that yanks you out of that sweet spot.
