My first true understanding and memory of film happened in High school. I took a media production class because of my interst in photography but I grew into a love for film making. The idea of brining ideas to life is what I lived for and being able to understand the essence of a good film is what encouraged me to continue to that career path
My earliest memory of reading was in primary school my parents didn't read to me so I learned to read in school; and my favorite moments were library time because we would also read a book and then have a movie day and would read the books we'd read like charlottes web.
My first memory of reading comprehension was in 6th grade. It was more required readings with more questions and theoretical thinking. But I remember my teacher would always try to find books she knew had a movie to go along with it. Like when we learned about Greek Gods/Goddesses we got to watch Percy Jackson.
Starting off as a Mass Com. major I had taken classes that enhanced my learning and understanding of film but less book involvment happened. Until I changed my Major to Education then more books happened but less films.
