1951
1950
The school opens in founder and former Head of School Stephen Eckard's flat on Hans Place in Knightsbridge.
1952
The school moves to Grosvenor Square as it grows to 135 students and 10 teachers.
1957
The High School is introduced as the school moves to two Regency houses at Gloucester Gate.
1963
1964
1960
The school moves to 38 and 41 York Terrace.
U.S. Ambassador David K. E. Bruce breaks ground at One Waverly Place, and construction begins. The land was formerly the Daleham Lawn Tennis Club.
1968
The High School temporarily moves to the Working Men's College while the building is finished.

The cornerstone for the new building is laid by the former British Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary Michael Stuart in the presence of U.S. Ambassador Walter Annenberg and ASL Board Chairman Albert F. Lager.
1971
One Waverley Place is dedicated to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher Dec. 1.
1990
1994
Canons Park playing fields are purchased. Previously, sports teams practiced at nearby parks, such as Regents Park.
1998
The school launches its first capital campaign, SchoolWorks, in support of campus renovation and expansion.
2000
2001
2000
The new gyms and humanities wing are complete.
The SchoolWorks campaign renovations finishes construction.
2006
2008
The School Center for Education and the Arts construction is complete and opens with a ceremony.
The school launches its second campaign, Fulfilling Great Expectations, to increase endowment in support of faculty and staff and renovate the theater.
2010

The Board of Trustees announce the third capital campaign, New Frontiers, to add new facilities and renovate existing ones.
The Community Arts Building, Aquatic & Fitness Center, Learning Commons and renovated science spaces open.
