Activity
Explore the Robots Case Study and Discuss!
UAE Camel Racing with Robot Riders In the UAE, robots are used in camel races, replacing human jockeys. These robot jockeys are lightweight and equipped with remote controls, allowing trainers to guide camels during races and speak through walkie-talkies. The technology ensures safety for both the camels and the human jockeys —now replaced by robots—while maintaining the excitement of the traditional sport. The robots have become a key part of modernizing camel racing, blending tradition with innovation.

Robots are machines that act and sometimes even look like humans. In reality, they are just computers. Robots require electricity, computer science, and coding to function. Coding involves instructions that tell computers what to do. Most robots are used to perform mundane tasks for people, such as filling up cartons of ice cream to be sold in stores. Some robots are starting to replace the jobs of humans. For example, some robots can perform surgeries that minimize mistakes and human error.

Reading Comprehension
Read the text below aloud.
Robots are also completing tasks that are currently impossible for humans such as visiting and exploring Mars. So far, no humans have been to Mars but plenty of robots have. There are people who worry that robots will take their jobs but we control robots so it's up to us to determine when and how we use them.
