Family history: Having a father or brother who has had prostate cancer increases the risk of getting the disease. Risk is higher if your brother had prostate cancer than than if your father had it.
Signs and symptoms:
Early stages of prostate cancer has no symptoms. More advanced stages prostate cancer may cause symptoms: -problems urinating, such as burning or pain, needing urinate more often especially at night. -blood in urine or semen -trouble getting an erection -weakness or numbness in legs or feet, or not being able to control the bladder or bowel, caused by cancer pressing on spinal cord

Treatment for prostate cancer depends on the type and stage and result of any testing done on the tumor. Your age, other health problems, and personal choices are considered.

There is no way to prevent prostate cancer. There are some ways that might help lower the risk. Regular physical activity, a healthy weight, and eating a diet high in vegetables and low in fat.
