(food preservation / pollution mitigation / engineering materials for medicines, clothes, home)
- How is chemistry important in human health?

How to record your video
from 720p up to 1080p in MOV or MP4 format

You can record your video in any language, however subtitles in English must be included
You can record your video by yourself or get a team of 2 (max) undergraduate students
The video should have a duration from 1 min to a max of 3 min

Post your video to your account on any social platform, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, WeChat.
Include all three hashtags #howchemcan, #videocompetition and #IUPAC in your video post.
Provide a link to your social post using the on-line form to confirm your entry.
Selected videos will be posted to a web-page on the IUPAC site

How your videos will be evaluated
Videos will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Originality & Creativity
- Clarity of the Message
- Impact
- Technical Quality
The Awards
The author(s) of the first ranked video will receive:
- An invitation and free registration for the 51st IUPAC World Chemistry Congress (July 16-23, 2027 - Montréal - Canada)
- 2000 USD (per team as contribution for travel and accommodation to attend the meeeting in Montréal) or alternatively 1500 USD per team
The author(s) of the second ranked video will receive:
- Individual Certificates
- 500 USD (per-team)
The author(s) of the third, fourth and fifth ranked video will receive:
- Individual Certificates
- 400 USD (per-team)
All other video entries will receive electronic participation certificates
