Textile art

• The artwork is called 'Exploding Star'.
• It was created by Karen Ross, a textile artist.
• She used colourful threads and fibres on a piece of fabric.
• Karen sewed on the fabric to make patterns and lines.
• She also added small beads for extra detail.

Line drawing

• The artist used lines and marks to make the picture.
• Marks that are close together look darker.
• Lines that are spread apart make the picture look lighter.

This is a photograph taken by NASA of a rocket launch in 2013.

• The image of a space explosion was made on a computer.
• Placing lots of different parts together makes it look like a real photograph.
