A-Z learning is a digital platform for students to read books that are decodable, give insight into vocabularly, and for practice with comprehension. A-Z can differentiate instruction because teachers can assign readers based on the reading levels of individual students. Teachers can have students complete this work online or print off copies. A-Z learning readers align to state standards. Readers can be read to students.

Math manipulatives help differentiate instruction through hands on kinesthetic learning. Students can use counters, fraction trips, place value cards/chips, and ect. Students can use math manipulatives to bridge gaps through visuals. Math manipulatives can provide more support for students through hands on learning with additional scaffolds.

Students can use note booking or journaling as a way to take notes in class. They can use them in math to draw out ideas and solve their work. They can take down vocabulary words or make graphic organizers to organizer their thoughts. They can use their notebooks/journals to reflect back on what they have learned and use it to complete extra practice assignments or study for quizzes and tests.

Splash learn is a digital resource that can accomodate to student academic levels. This online resource includes game play that aligns with the topics that are taught inside the classroom. Students can use Spalsh learn at school or at home. Splash learn is a digial classroom that can help bridge the learning gaps through fun interactive activities.

Zearn is a online learning platform for math instruction. It helps students learn concept development and focus on bridging the gap of learning skills Zearn links with the lesson that is taught from the teacher. Then Zearn can be used for students for independent work to practice grade-level skills through visuals, audio, and online manipulatives Zearn is great for differentiation because you can assign students different lessons based on where they may need improvement.

Braining Camp is an online platform that students can use online manipulatives. Students can share what they know with each other and the students. There are additional resources on braing camp for students to practice their math skills. Some of this work can be completed during independent work sessions.

Interactive digital tool for formative assessments. Teachers can use kahoot for students to work independently or collaboratively with other students. Students can play kahoot to review current content.

Canva is an onlike resource students can use independently or collaboratively. Students make presentations, complete projects, and complete assignments. Students can show their creativity when using canva or use pre-made templates.

Students can use flash cards to practice their math facts. Students can lead the game and compete with each other. The goal is for students to fluently know their math facts. This can be done with addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division flash cards. Students can also work together as teams.

Around the World

Students can connect to real world situations and complete projects based on the school community, student culture, or other world diversities. Students can work independently or collaboratively to work together. Students can research and support their projects with relevant facts. Students can also use grade level curriculum to make connections to the real world. Example: Students can work to build projects on how to over come adversities in their own communities.

Project Based Learning

Teachers can include books in their classroom library that are cultrually diverse. Teachers can also include cultrually diverse books and use them during lessons. These books can represent the students in the classroom, the teacher, the school community, and the local community. Teachers can also make sure not only the books are diverse but the authors who write them as well. Students can make connections to the books they are reading in class.
