The adult should prepare the materials listed on the next page. Read the challenge. Adults, secretly read and complete the "MAKE IT UNFAIR" section. Players should then attempt the challenge. If the player with the disadvantage can participate and attempt the challenge without complaining, and keep a positive attitude, they receive a point. The player with the most points wins. Alternative play: Adults can simply use each challenge separately, at different times, to help build and exercise their child's resilience to unfair situations. You do not need to keep score, however, reward resilience when your child attempts and/or completes the challenge without becoming upset.

The only thing that is fair about life is that life is unfair for everyone. When we can learn to keep calm and be resilient during times of unfairness we protect our emotions and our heart. Yes, we should always strive to make things fair and attempt call out unfairness, cheating, etc. However, sometimes we will all be faced with situations that are unfair, and our response to those situations will determine how resilient we are.
