The BSN program at Concord University provides a variety of opportunities for students to get hands-on experience in both real-life and simulated scenarios. Ares
Ares is an emergency-care manikin for training in medical trauma.
SIM (simulation) Lab
This fully-equipped laboratory, known as the SIM Center, allows nursing students to practice in a variety of simulated settings. It houses state-of-the-art manikins, 360° cameras with video feedback, and customizable scenarios.
Aria
Aria is a pediatric manikin that simulates a 7-year old child.

Lucina
Lucina is an advanced maternal manikin that teaches prepartum, labor, delivery, & postpartum care.
Juno
Juno is a patient simulator used to improve clinical skills including injections, ostomy, tracheostomy, and oral care.
Luna
Baby Luna is an infant manikin used for training in neonatal care, and is used towards PALS certification.

Skills Lab
The Skills Lab is a high-tech classroom laboratory where nursing students can practice what they learn throughout the program. Essential skills include wound care, injections, and managing traumas such as heart attacks or strokes.

The Anatomy Lab will be located in Wooddell Hall, which is under renovation to create spaces for both the Nursing program and Physician Assistant program. It will have two Anatomage tables, one of which is currently set up in our Immersion Room.

Realistic training arms with simulated veins and skin that allows students to practice injections and IV starts.

Highly-accurate and lifelike manikins from lifecast body simulation that are used to simulate patients that our students will most likely encounter. One of our manikins is "viv", an 82-year old senior female.
