FISU Achievements:
- At the 1987 Universiade in Zagreb, she dominated the competition, winning five gold medals in the uneven bars, vault, floor exercise, balance beam, and team all-around
- A year later, at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, she won two gold medals in the team and individual all-around. Additionally, she secured silver on the balance beam and bronze on the uneven bars
Sophie Scheder (DEU)
FISU Achievements:
- Won silver in uneven bars at the 2023 FISU World University Games in Chengdu, scoring 13.433 points
- Played a key role in Germany’s 6th-place finish in the team ranking. She compared the FISU Games to the Olympics, valuing the mix of high-level competition and a relaxed atmosphere
Elizabeth Tweedle (GBR)
FISU Achievements:
- She claimed two gold medals on the uneven bars (2005 in Izmir, 2009 in Belgrade) and one in floor exercise (2009 in Belgrade). Additionally, she won bronze in the individual all-around and balance beam at the 2005 Universiade
- At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she secured the bronze medal on the uneven bars, becoming the first British female gymnast to win an Olympic medal
Fabian Hambüchen (DEU)
FISU Achievements:
- In 2015, he won gold on the horizontal bar at the Universiade in Gwangju. Earlier, in 2013, he had claimed silver in the individual all-around and floor exercise in Kazan
- He crowned his Olympic career with a gold medal on the horizontal bar at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, following a silver medal in 2012 in London and a bronze in 2008 in Beijing in the same event
Larisa Iordache (ROU)
FISU Achievements:
- She dominated the 2017 Universiade in Taipei, winning gold in the individual all-around and floor exercise, as well as bronze on the balance beam
- At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she won a bronze medal with the Romanian team in the team all-around event
Lee Chih-kai (TWN)
FISU Achievements:
- Won gold in pommel horse at the 2017 Universiade in Taipei and again in 2023 in Chengdu with a score of 15.500
- Made history in 2018 as the first Taiwanese gymnast to win gold at the Asian Games (pommel horse, Jakarta). He also won bronze at the 2018 World Championships, silver at the 2019 World Championships, and silver at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, becoming Taiwan’s first Olympic gymnastics medalist
Kaya Kazuma (JPN)
FISU Achievements:
- He won a total of eight Universiade medals, including three golds – in the team all-around and individual all-around in 2019 in Naples, as well as in floor exercise in 2021 in Chengdu. He also earned multiple silver and bronze medals across various apparatus
- His greatest success came at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where he won gold with the Japanese team. Previously, at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he had won silver in the team all-around and bronze on the pommel horse
