APRIL 2025 OCEMS UPDATES

Child Abuse (Policy 330.30)

CHANGES 1. Agreement can be made on who will file the report. i.e. Orange City brings a rule out abuse case to UCI and the medic and bedside nurse agree that UCI will file. 2. Documentation in ePCR will state "Report to be filed by (reporting agency name)"

• Be alert to when you run these calls!
• Your job is to be aware for when these patients come to us.

Brand New Procedure!

Dosing 0.1 ml/kg Max of 1.0 mL (10 mcg) per dose May repeat every 3 minutes

Tips

Titration 0-10 years: SBP >70+ agex2 >10 years: SBP >90

• Indication and Contraindication are the same as adult!
• Mixing is the same.
• Base Hosptial Order only.
• Ensure NS 20 mL/kg started prior to order.
• Review Dosing / titration
