A dedication to the Oregan, California and Santa Fe Trails can be found at Gardner Junction, a park with a history of the site and trails.

Another claim to fame was Cramer Chemical, a sports medicine company started in Gardner. The plant has since closed, but the business continues providing products for athletes across the world.

Since its first jump over I-35 in 2019, Gardner has annexed an additional 1,500 acres."It gives us the ability to grow as we choose," said City Administrator Jim Pruetting. New developments in this area are expected to be announced later in 2025.
