Is YouTube Kids safe for children?
Meet "Eastside"
Age: 9 years old Parental Control: Unlimited
Explanation
While YouTube Kids allows parents to curate their child's feed, Eastside has unlimited access to the site. Within 20 minutes of clicking, the Eastside account found many alarm-raising videos. These are five of them.

The content is fine, but the opening frames may be frightening to children
Conclusion
YouTube Kids, as a platform, is not safe for children to use unsupervised. Within a short amount of time, Eastside could find videos that no parent would be comfortable with the young children watching. More, and possibly worse, videos are out there. Instead, parents should take an active role in their children's watching habits by supervising their children. At the same time, they watch or take advantage of parental controls that limit their child's access to videos.
