Role of the nutritionist in Mikel's treatment

To learn more about the role of nutrition in Mikel's treatment, we collaborated with the dietetics students, who gave us guidelines for patients with diabetes and a colostomy.

Pharmacist

The pharmacist will have direct contact with Mikel, providing him with the medications he needs to treat his diabetes and the materials needed to care for his colostomy

Family doctor and nurse

They will be responsible for monitoring Mikel's progress and controlling his pathologies.

Pacient associations

Patient associations are a good way to normalize Mikel's situation and show him that he's not alone. Our students have learned about the activities of these associations through visits and talks with patients and staff.
