Tigra, the big tiger, was known in the magical forest, not only for her vibrant stripes but also for her incredible love of inventing.. She often used her clever ideas to invent tools and gadgets to help her explore the forest.
One of her favorite activities was to collect unique and colorfoul feathers of the magical birds in the forest, which she stored carefully in her special invention: a feather organiser she had designed herself. That morning she went out to add more feathers to her collection.
However, as she searched, she discovered that her favorite collecting spot was damaged and many feathers had been blown away by the wind or were covered with leaves and dirt.
This situation frustrated her and made her angry as she could not find the feathers she wanted for her collection. Then Leo, her wise friend, appears. Seeing her angry he asks what happened.
- Tigra what has made you angry today?
-all my feathers are scattered and lost under leaves and dirt. I have searched for so long to find the best ones and now they are lost!
Leo thinks for a moment and says....
- We can look for them together and calmly. We can also count every feather we find. This way, not only we'll find them, but we will also calm down and enjoy the process.
Tigra hesitated at first but trusted her friend. They started searching together. Each feather they found Tigra carefully added it in her bag, counting out loud, "one, two, three..". As focused on the counting she felt calming down. She even started imagining ways to improve her feather organiser to prevent future mishaps.
Leo smiled and said: "See Tigra anger is a natural feeling, especially when things don't go the way we planned. But when we pause, count and focus on something we enjoy, we can find calm and balance. Counting your feathers reminded you of how special they are and made you feel better."
Tigra nodded. Her frustration was fading away. - Thank you Leo! Counting really did help! I'm going to add these feathers into the organiser and think of a way to improve it. Mayby a windproof lid!
That's the invetive Tigra i know! And remember! Whenever you feel angry take a deep breathe and start counting. It might surprise you how much this helps!
